Glamping at Dipaculao

Dipaculao is the center point connecting the northern towns with the central municipalities. It is shaped like a narrow strip and boasts the longest coastline in the province.

Getting to Dipaculao
From Baler, rent a private vehicle and head north for the Dicadi highway. The urban barangays are less than an hour away from Baler by land. The farthest barangay, Dinadiawan is approximately four hours by car.

History
The municipality of Dipaculao was formed in 1950.

Attractions
Dipaculao has perhaps the most beautiful coastline in the province. Its main attractions are the coastal areas of Dinadiawan Beach, Ampere Beach and Borlongan Beach.

Sand and Stars Bravo | Photo G Adventures Philippines

This is my second trip with G Adventures, a travel group that offers a package tour  in Asia but mostly here in the Philippines. apart from the usual van transfers, tours, meal and accommodation; the group also offers conceptual shoots for their clients that are truly instagramable.

Activities

Before heading to Sand and Stars, we had a quick side trip in Baler, we had our breakfast there and immediately after we went to the beach for surfing.

Me being ‘EXTRA’

Glamping is where stunning nature meets modern luxury. It’s a way to experience the untamed and completely unique parts of the world—without having to sacrifice creature comforts.

We were very happy when we arrived at the place even though we had almost a day of land travel  so what we did was went straight to our tent to fix ourselves.

The main activity of the night is the social to get to know other travellers followed by drinking session and games.

And if you are being a little  extra just like me you wouldn’t miss a chance to do this kind of shoot as well.

It’s a tale as old as time itself that being outdoors is good for the health, with the fresh air letting your endorphins run free, it is difficult not to be happy on an adventure outdoors in the wonderful world we live in so what are you waiting for?

Let’s wander where the wifi is weak.

The start of our journey

Anyone can climb Mt. Batulao anytime you want however during the summer months expect a tree-less trail which means that the temperature is extremely hot so don’t forget to bring sunblock lotion, shades to protect your eyes, and water.

…Oh did I forgot to mention that don’t forget to bring your happy self as well when climbing up the mountain.

The torn among the roses

Based on the articles that I read Mt. Batulao was derived from the word Bato sa Ilaw (illuminated rock), wherein a yearly phenomenon was observed during the last week of December, where the sun sets right in the middle of Batulao’s two crests, producing a figure of rocks surrounding a disc of red light.

When you see it.

HOW TO GET THERE:
  • For Commuters – Ride a DLTB bus bound for Nasugbu in Buendia Station. Alight at Evercrest (KC Hillcrest Golf Club). Ride a tricycle or walk towards the registration point.
  • By Car – Follow the way going to Tagaytay via Cavitex or SLEX. At the intersection in Olivares, follow the way going to Nasugbu. Turn left at Evercrest (KC Hillcrest). Take the first right after then drive straight until you see the parking area.

Hiking is a bit like life: The journey only requires you to put one foot in front of the other… again and again and again. And if you allow yourself opportunity to be present throughout the entirety of the trek, you will witness beauty every step of the way, not just at the summit.

And if you’re lucky enough you will meet some cute guys just like ‘Kyah’ which I met while resting and waiting for the next walk. #NinjaMoves

Okay! back to trekking / hiking.

IMG_4026.jpeg

A piece of advise for first time climbers (like me). when they say “minor climb” it must be understood that all mountains pose some degree of difficulty and risk. Moreover it is a good idea to consult a doctor before climbing the peak.

It is also a must for hikers to register before proceeding to ramble. Leave your name and mobile number to the officials at the registration area. And tell them when you are expected to return.

Optional to have a tour guide that will assist you throughout the adventure.

IMG_3207.jpeg

Once you get to the peak you will be amazed with the view and will notice the beauty of nature is everywhere. So don’t forget to bring your camera and strike a pose.

It’s all about finding calm in the chaos so,

because the memories maid in the mountains stay in our hearts forever.
